Flue gas analyzer

Flue gas analyzer Sensonic 6000

Sensonic IR-1

Sensonic IR-1 is an infrared flue gas analyser using NDIR sensors as the main measuring method. The infrared flue gas analyser can also be fitted with up to nine electrochemical sensors for other gases. The modular construction of this portable infrared analyser allows it to be configured to suit virtually all wishes from the user.
The sensor ranges can also be chosen to exactly suit the measuring operations required. In addition, the infrared analyser is fitted with a range of analogue inputs and outputs, to guarantee that measuring data can be transferred and documented with ease.
The analyser can thus also be used for a range of control functions.

Standard and optional configuration

Measurement of gas concentrations

  • The following gases can be measured using NDIR technology: CO, CO2, CH4, NO, SO2, NO2
  • O2 concentration is measured using an electrochemical sensor.
  • O2 concentration using partial pressure sensor (option)
  • Toxic gas concentrations measured with electrochemical sensors: H2S, H2. Please ask about other gases.

Measurement of other parameters

  • flue gas and ambient temperature measurement
  • Pressure, draught, and differential pressure measurement with a resolution of 0.1 Pa.
  • Ambient pressure measurement with resolution of 0.1 hPa
  • 8 Temperature channels (4 thermocouples and 4 thermistors) (option)

Calculation

  • CO2 concentration if no CO2 sensor is fitted.
  • Calculation of all relevant combustion parameters.
  • Calculation of absolute and relative mass concentrations for the measured gases
  • Calculation of absolute and relative volumetric concentrations for the measured gases

Processing and presentation of measuring data

  • All measured and calculated values  can be displayed as averaged values as well. Averaging time can be chosen from the series: 2, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120, and 180 seconds.
  • Single and triple long-term measurements (XL measurements). Period for long-term measurements chosen from the series: 10 s, 20 s, 30 s, 1 min., 5 min., 10 min., 15 min., 20 min., 30 min.
  • Single or continuous storage of results. One set of data will contain all measured and calculated values.
  • Memory for 1M sets of data (MMC 256MB)
  • Complete software package for the PC to process readings and communicate on-line.

Software capabilities

  • Automatic zero calibration on switch-on
  • All parameters can be freely programmed
  • Complete list of 10 standard fuels
  • Freely programmable fuels
  • Continuous automatic monitoring of instrument function with acoustic warning and detailed information under "Control List"
  • Cross-sensitivity and temperature drift of gas sensors is fully compensated
  • Temperature and ambient pressure compensation for IR sensors

Hardware capabilities

  • Data logger with full 256 MB memory to facilitate continuous storing of results. The results can be read from the memory into a PC.
  • Flash memory for all instrument settings
  • Flash programme memory allows simple programme update from computer
  • Integral clock/calendar with separate buffer battery
  • Mains supply 110/230 VAC, 50-60 Hz
